I recently said one day i want to teach kids yoga. In fact, after having made the decision to take do my yoga teacher training later this year, I planned to take a certification course. I didn’t know exactly where and how I’d go about it, but then the other day, I came across the possibility that it would happen much sooner than I expected! While browsing Facebook, I saw an update on the Urban Ashram Manila – Center for Yoga page saying that they will be offering a kids yoga certification on August 18-20, 2012 with Rainbow Kids Yoga. Wow! Talk about divine timing. Oh, and an added bonus for me….the program is not only a 3-day Yoga Alliance US and UK Certification Training program, but it also does not require participants to be a yoga teacher (I won’t be one yet at the time of the program since the Beyond Yoga Teacher Training will not start till August 31). Nice, right? The Universe is really conspiring to make things fall into place for me.

I don’t know the details yet, but Urban Ashram Manila will be holding a free information session about it on May 12 at 2pm. I can’t wait to know more about the program!!!

I have written many, many times about my love for Yin Yoga and of my teacher, Dona Tumacder-Esteban. However, this time I’d like you to know more about it from Dona herself :) Check out this video about what Yin yoga is all about.

She will also be doing a second run of her Go Deep WIth Yin Yoga Workshops all Saturdays of May at Beyond Yoga, 3rd Floor, Il Terrazzo Bldg., Tomas Morato, Quezon City

The long wait is over! Today, April 11, 2012, Beyond Yoga, AntiGravity Yoga’s (AGY) exclusive partner here in Manila, formally opens it’s suspension studio for daily flights and adventures on the signature AGY silk hammock.

Just before the first flight took off this morning with Teacher Rianna, I got to join several other yoga friends in a sneak peak of the studio and it was an amazing experience. Teacher Monica gave us quite a workout and her enthusiasm for the practice was bubbling over! While I have been lucky enough to have taken several AGY classes over the past few months at The Farm at San Benito and in other venues, the excitement and thrill of each class is always different.
