If there is one thing I have learned to appreciate because of yoga, it’s that things change. While I may be pretty flexible about things (literally and figuratively), I tend to have difficulty dealing with change, especially when they come unexpectedly.
In yoga, it comes in every breath. Nothing is ever the same. One day it’s there, the next day it isn’t. And so with that mindset I began to recognize the value of change.I have seen how different I am in all sense of the word since I have begun my practice. Before, I’d go through great lengths to have the cutest outfits, the nicest stilettos and the swankiest accessories (such as that Balenciaga bag and carrera tag heuer with diamonds!). Now, I know I don’t really need much. Also, I used to worry so much what people say and think about me. Now, I’m learning to be less attached to that. But most of all I am really beginning to understand what change means…it doesn’t mean the old isn’t there anymore, or it is over, but that maybe, it really has just evolved.
